Healing the root cause

As Hippocrates stated, “all diseases begin in the gut.” because EVERYTHING in health stems back to or is ROOTED in digestive issues. The health of the gut is implicated in every single system in the body. As a sufferer of Guillain-Barre Syndrome, I know mine did. We are an ecosystem, every part of us is linked in some way. The gut is connected to our immune system, and in turn connected to our brain function.


Good dietary nutrition helps build the foundation for wellness, but it’s not the only pillar. We must also nourish the body, mind, and spirit. You can have a perfect diet and work out daily, however, if the connection to yourself is broken in spirit, and you are not managing stress well, there is a greater chance that you will not reach your optimum health and wellness. I can't tell you how many clients I have seen who seem to be doing everything right, yet they can't seem to get better. It is essential to look at our whole selves.

A holistic approach

My approach is different to the one used by most nutritionists. In addition to looking at nutrition, I focus on all other aspects of wellness and well-being. I look at the relationship between lifestyle and food . I integrate yoga, meditation, and breathwork as complementary practices to regulate the nervous system and balance hormones to voluntarily control internal states of well-being.

We are, each of us, biologically and genetically unique, and we’re all affected by diverse life experiences and exposures. 

One person’s food could be another person’s poison. That’s why fad diets don’t work for everyone. There is no magic pill or one-size-fits-all diet. Today, we’re bombarded with so much confusing and contradictory information that it’s hard to pinpoint what’s actually good for us to eat. Nutritional information is often sourced from the web or social media, and when a specific diet doesn’t work, it can provoke a sense of failure. That's why my approach is personalized.

As your health and wellness coach, we begin with a thorough nutritional and lifestyle assessment. We formulate a personalized wellness plan that you can implement right away. I will provide you with simple, practical, and affordable solutions that are sustainable. I will support you all the way, with monthly check-ins during the program to ensure that it’s attuned to your health needs. 


You are also encouraged to attend a weekly yoga and meditation session which I host for my clients who are interested in joining a community of like-minded individuals that are also on their journey towards optimum wellness. 

My commitment to you is an ongoing effort to seek and uncover the root cause of your symptoms or medical condition through an integrative, functional, and holistic approach. My goal is to activate your own body’s natural intelligence and healing mechanisms to restore optimal health.
